Seagull Software and PeopleSoft

Here is another coming together aimed at linking legacy applications into the new world of SOA and making the development of service-based applications that bit easier. PeopleSoft has certified the integration between the Transidiom module of Seagull Software’s LegaSuite platform and PeopleTools.

LegaSuite allows PeopleSoft users to connect PeopleSoft applications with business processes and data in their legacy applications, transforming legacy applications into business processes and data that can then be utilized in the PeopleSoft environment. The process involves no changes to the host applications and supports real-time integration for a wide variety of host environments including mainframe, iSeries and UNIX as well as the "new legacy" of Windows and Web applications.

Open standards such as XML and Web services are supported by both LegaSuite and PeopleSoft. Applications running on proprietary legacy systems such as mainframe and iSeries lack API's and standards-based access points to application logic. Transidiom is designed specifically to solve that problem, transforming legacy business functions into reusable components with bi-directional XML, J2EE, WSDL, COM and .NET client interfaces. Transidiom requires no programming, automating the creation of industry-standard connectors by wrapping legacy functions and business logic into callable services.
